foolcontrol-r: A Remote Control App for RED Digital Cinema Cameras
foolcontrol-r is a simple yet efficient remote control app for RED DSMC and DSMC2 cameras. It allows you to monitor your camera settings and trigger start/stop functions with ease. This app is not the complete version of foolcontrol, which is available for purchase separately. However, it provides enough features for you to control your RED camera remotely.
One of the best things about foolcontrol-r is that it works with any RED DSMC and DSMC2 camera via wifi connectivity. RED WEAPON, EPIC-W, SCARLET-W, and RAVEN all have built-in wifi that is ready for foolcontrol-r. If you have RED EPIC or SCARLET, you will need to use either RED lemo to cat5 ethernet cable and a GIG-E wireless router, RED REDLink bridge wifi module, Teradek COLR and GIG-E to lemo cable, or RTMotion Latitude to connect to foolcontrol-r.
